Patricia Capsi

Patricia Capsi Morales is conducting her PhD studies in Information Engineering at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT, Genova) and University of Pisa (Centro E. Piaggio) with Prof. Antonio Bicchi. She received the M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University Polytechniche of Catalonia (UPC, Barcelona), with a final Master thesis in Biorobotics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland). Her research focuses on human motor control and resulting applications in upper limb prosthetics and rehabilitation robotics. She investigates both the improvement of control intuitiveness and grasp naturalness to improve prosthesis functionality without compromising its acceptance.
