In 2011, on occasion of the graduation of our Ph.D. students in Robotics, we invited some distinguished guests to be part of the jury. We took the opportunity offered by their presence and that of other colleagues and friends happening to be visiting Centro Piaggio, to build a very informal brainstorming workshop, inspired also by the fine Tuscan spring.

The casual style of arranging talk topics and the interaction of enthusiastic researchers created a very interesting "jam session" style, which we decided to repeat in the following years.
