A method to reproduce the intestinal human villi was developed. 3D printing was used for creating a resin mold, and a experimental procedure was followed to obtain biocompatible porous scaffolds. The porous implant can be used as a support structure for cell culture and it can be integrated into different bioreactors, opening the possibility of substituting simple 2D flat cell culture with 3D scaffold systems, mimicking the real intestinal topography.
