The NanoBioscopy Lab, jointly run by the the Research Center E. Piaggio and the Department of Biology, is dedicated to the engineeering of microenvironments for the study of physiological and disease models. Directed by  Prof. Arti Ahluwalia , the lab houses state of the art microscopes for imaging of cells and nanomaterials.

          NEMO

NEMO or Neuron Morphological Analysis Tool was developed by the group and is available for download. An open-source tool for automated analysis of neuron morphology and connectivity, it enables quantification and classification of cells according to their morphometric parameters using the powerful 3 way PCA method for multivariate analysis. NEMO is also available and registered as a Neuroinformatics resource at the Neuroscience Information Framework, NIF.
